Age of
exploration. That’s what most of the people say when they asked me how old I
am. They say that this is the time where I will have most of my firsts – first
job, first ‘proper’ pay, first serious thoughts in life and would eventually
link to how I will be in the future. They say it will be exciting. But I don’t
know what to expect.
This
might be because of who I am. People around me know that I am rather of a calm
person – it seems like I don’t have much emotions lol. I’ve dealt with a lot of
my first moments rather calmly – I wasn’t nervous when I took my driving exam,
I was calm during most of my major national exams (I actually slept quite well
lol) – I wasn’t even nervous when I go up to take my result. My friends and
family thought I was acting cool – but the fact is, I was REALLY calm.
Don’t
ask me why.
But
there were definitely moments when I was slightly more excited than usual. My
first time diving was once such instance that I was actually nervous. In the
deep water – it was very hard for me to control myself. The water current was
strong, and I couldn’t hear a thing. Losing one of my five senses made me
insecure – and I am *slightly* uneasy because I can’t hear. Well of course,
those feelings were soon gone when I kind of find the balance and soon after
that I find myself enjoying a lot in the water.
I told
you I am a calm person hahaha.
My
first time becoming a barista was rather memorable as well. The learning
process was fun – it was challenging, and it was harder than I thought it would
be. I had a lot of fun while learning and getting to know more about coffee –
but then, the sudden stress came on my shoulder when I actually needed to start
serving coffee. I was a little terrified that I might be doing it wrong or
messed thing up (after all, it was my sister’s shop that we are talking about)
and all the reputation will be affected. But gladly, our customers are rather
welcoming and they gave me the confidence to do even better. :)
But one
of the more embarrassing times that I have experience in my life was actually
related to the nature structure of my body – menstrual cycle. So it was few
years back, when I was 15 in high school. I forgot that it was about that time
of month and I did not have any supplies with me so I had to ask a friend for a
pad while everyone in my class was watching us because I leaked. I know it’s so
freaking embarrassed. As you know during that age periods were embarrassing,
they were something to be hidden. Men often tend to look away when they see a
pad and most times when guys go through your bag, they will immediately throw
it away at the sight of a pad which makes thing so much awkward after that.
Periods are the worst time of the month for females. We feel
like we’re dying, we hate everyone and everything, work isn’t optional and all
we want to do is crawl into our beds and never come out. Most months, you can
keep everything fine and managed, and then there’s just those times when it is
causing you every problem in the world. The worst? When your period causes a
totally embarrassing situation. I guess all of us have had or will have an
embarrassing period moment at some point in our lives. Like mine which I have told you earlier.
But as you grow older, we realized that period is nothing to
be ashamed of. Pads don’t come with weapons, they come in peace. I believe most
girls will definitely love the new Sofy Compact cause recently Sofy have just launched their first
compact napkin in Malaysia that is ½ size of a palm, so females and males do not have to feel embarrass when holding it around.
It’s available in 3 sizes ( Night 30cm, Day 24cm and Day 21cm )
See how convenient these sanitary napkins are; they’re ½
size of a palm when folded and unfold for a full sized napkin. When I wear it I feel like I’m not wearing any. Because it’s
comfortable. Highly recommend for those who love ultra thin pads.
Look how easy
they can be stored! It will definitely come very handy in times of needs.
The designs look like pocket tissues more than sanitary
napkins, don’t you think?
So now it’s your turn, what's your first embarrassing period
moment?
